Singer, songwriter and drummer Ringo Starr , 71, is still recording great pop/rock music and the new Ringo 2012 album is so cool it even features Edgar Winter . Ringo is as hip as ever and his latest album allows the legendary megastar to have some fun on his own terms, in his own way and in his own time. The album was produced by Starr with famous pals Joe Walsh , Dave Stewart , Benmont Tench , Kenny Wayne Shepherd , Van Dyke Parks , Charlie Haden and Don Was . The lead single from Ringo 2012 is “Wings,” a cool reggae rock song written by Ringo Starr and Vini Poncia .
